Looking for specs. RG470FM

Come in, Orson! Hm uh... ah yes, there you are... Na-no, na-no! I found a great source of information, called http://www.ibanez.com/parts/2000_PARTS/El-Guitar/SPEC-SHEET/RG470.htm o, great Chicken Head. I noticed, the earthlings still made RG470's in 2000 just not FM (flame maple), so what you see here is a parts list of 2000. All you should do, is check it with the catalogue of 1996: http://www.t3-kundenserver.de/htmlpages/redasys/_core/databases/t_meinl-uploads/ 1996_gesamt.pdf bottom of page 17, to see if there weren't any spec changes. And if we do this, we see that there was indeed a change: THE PICKUPS! Instead of: PICK UP (FRONT) IBZ INF1 PICK UP (CENTER) IBZ INF-S1 PICK UP (REAR) IBZ INF2 which they used in 1996, they used: PICK UP (FRONT) 3PU1J1V7B1 PC PICK UP (CENTER) 3PU1J2S1B2 PC PICK UP (REAR) 3PU1J1V8B2 PC in 2000. The rest seems the same... like the good old Lo-TRS. By the way, it is somewhat remarkable that everybody on this planet is looking for "The Real McCoy"... Shall I tell them.......? Here's an area where they differ considerably from the US. The RG570FM is shown in both the '95 and '96 Euro cats. However, the specs are very different. The '95 catalog shows a Flame Maple top on a Basswood body. The hardware is gold and the fretboard Rosewood. The pickup surrounds are black. The '96 cat shows something called an RG470FMR that doesn't appear to have a Flame Maple top and is only called Basswood in the specs. The fretboard is rosewood and the hardware is gold. A difference from the '95 is that the pickup surrounds are gold. The US '95 RG470FM mentioned in my message above, has a maple fretboard and pewter hardware. So, what does your's look like?   Fingersmcoy Username: Fingersmcoy Registered: 10-2006 Posted on Wednesday, November 08, 2006 - 10:12 pm:    Mine has a flamed top, puter, or cosmos hardware.The color of the guitar seem to change color in different lighting situations.The fret board is maple.but the pickups are inf1 neck,infs1 mid.and Seymour Duncun in the bridge. the trem is a Lo-TRS trem II.
