Hi folks,
I have just discovered this great website!
I bought my Ibanez in 1983, I think. I am very satisfied with it, a very good guitar to play, a good clean sound and beautiful to look at.
The serial No. is A824148.
I am interested in more facts about my guitar; when was it made, the materials used, wiring diagram for the mics and so on.

Your guitar was made in January 1982. Guitar Number 4148 made that month.
Materials: Mahogany body and flame Maple top.
3-ply Maple neck. Super 58 pups.

You can do a search here on the ICW for the ar300 wiring diagram.

Great looking guitar by the way, i got one ar100 from that era, really good guitars!

AR 300, January 1982, Google the diagram or search the threads here... it is out there...although I'm not sure why you would need it if all is working well.

Great maple caple grain!!

Karlst:

Welcome to ICW!

That's a beautiful '82 AR300CS (cherryburst). I have one just like it.

Looks like the truss rod cover was put on upside down, though.

Being that your guitar was built after 1980, I'm moving this message thread to the Cool Contemporary section.

Thanks,
JohnS

Interesting detail about the truss rod cover...
I had service on the guitar a couple of years ago, so actually the mistake was done there.
I have put it back to the right position now....
