I always wonder why an RS1400 would cost so much more than a MC100/MC150 of the same vintage? ...especially in non-collector condition.

Note: I'm not saying that this RS1400 is in non-collector condition. In fact, this one is really nice.

I dont have a rs1400 ,but I do have a rs1500 and she is hot,I thought about selling it but she is such an amzing instrument that I decide I will not.I wonder what the differences re between a 1400 and a 1500, qua sound and playability.
They are not many around I beleive, Bear, do you have exact numbers of production?
cheers

This looks well used. There's no mention of it being a 1400, so it may fly under the radar.

The seller posted it a week ago and pulled the auction with two days to go and then posted the same thing again. I sent him two inquiries but got no answer. I always feel uneasy with "...selling for a friend." kind of auctions.
