The JS700 has got "soapbar" type pickups sp90b I believe are the model name. Can anyone tell me about these? Tech specs, tonal description..etc..? thanks!

the pickuups are single coil. Very warm especially with the mohogany body of the 700. Great for jazz and blues. When the three way switch is in the center position, the pickups act as one humbucker. Great for rock sounds. I have this guitar and am thinking about selling it $450 with case.

get a dimarzio soapbar super distortion or tonezone for the bridge, it will scream.
