I bought what I was told was an RG750. Problem is, a guitar source book says the 750's were made in 92 and up only. The first part serial number reads F9 meaning it's a Japan-made 89. It's a black body, sharkfin inlays, bound headstock, bound neck, black pickguard, dual/single/dual IBZUSA pickups, 5-way position (sliding, not toggle) switch with tone and volume. Anyone have any ideas? It looked like an RG550LTD pictured in the book...Thanks in advance.

hi michel,
rg 550 ltd doesnt come with ibzusa pickups, so your rg is a 750 and they do exist in late '80. the last rg 700 series were produced in 1993.it is a great guitar.
