The P model is basically an RG model guitar upside down. It is a little different but it was very cool

Great pic. I would love to find one of these up for grabs - I'd especially like to get one with the neck humbucker and the pick guard. I know someone who has one (he sold me my RG770DXVM) and it is a very cool guitar (even if it is a very boring black :-P).

That is actually a picture of a 540PII the original 540 PI is the same as the one Joe Satriani has on the cover of Dreaming#11 and Not of this earth. I know I've got one.

Mrs. Wolftone has graciously provided a picture of a 540P.

She adds: "I've got one of these in - I guess what you'd call hot pink - I don't know what Ibanez called it."

Thanks, ma'am. J

Just bought a 540 pII white two HBs and one of the best souding Ibanez I ever had the chance to play, I have already stripped down the paint from the body and I'm going to look for someone who is willing to help me copy the body shape on a better piece of wood, if anybody can help me it'll be super

Sincerly

Hi Shred Masters. I just purchased an 80's Ibanez that I am unsure of what it is. It is RGish. An altered s***t shape with an unusual varying thickness to the body. It has IBZ pick ups 1 Hum 2 Single with on off switches for each, 1 vol, and 1 tone with a coil tap for the humbucker. 22 fret neck, dots, cosmo black hardware, Edge bridge etc etc.... It has no model number anywhere just Ibanez on the headstock. It is Japanese made. Any ideas of what it is????? Please let me know!!!!! At any rate it totally rocks and was a great deal.
