i was on the net
and happened to come across a site(i forget what one and its buggin the hell out of me)
and on it there was some guy stating that he had a heartfeild guitar made by fender i think? not sure
and he said that the neck was thinner than ibanez's wizard..now i find that had to believe
considering the wizard is 17mm at the first fret and 19mm at the the 12th..now having said that...that in my experiences has been the thinnest neck produced.
if you went anythinner your neck would warp unless it was graphite or some fiber
ive recently had a neck made for a custom7 string that im building to the specs of 16mm at the first fret and 18 at the 12th only because i wanted to see what it would be like..now if someone can direct me to a site where the talk about these heartfeild guitars.......(supposedly they look cooler than the Saber which is also hard to believe) then could you tell me...thanks

Guitar Guy, I had a heartfield for about two months before I hung it on the wall and forgot about it. It does not compare to any Ibanez that I have ever had.

Heartfield's were a collaboration between the factory that build Ibanez's (Fuki Gen Gaki or something like that) and Fender. The Talon was particularly RG like but with a more traditional rock sound to my mind.

I have tried a few and compared to Ibanez's they don't even compare, totally pants!

actually, it depends on the Heartfield...

The Talons are pretty mundane - an early '90s RG5xx with Fender's name - but the ELANS! The Elan series are some beautiful guitars - you'd be hard pressed to find an Ibanez below a JEM or USRG that compared...
