Hi Chad!
I think I could help you out. At this moment I'm at work, but when I'm home I will look for you: I do have quite a lot about Ibanez during the '80s.
Question: For my friend Hasy Neuenschwander from the beautiful site http://www.ibanez-vintage-page.de I'm looking for Ibanez material on the period 19-late-sixties until 1978, to complete his documentation on the web. You should visit his site! (and my Ibanez collection, wich is also there, under "collectors"). Do you have material on that particular period and if so, would you please give/sell/loan me some stuff to scan it in order to place it on Hasy's site? I would also be glad with some good colour copies; I'll pay for the costs.
I will soon let you know what I've got for you!
Greeetz, Harry

Chad,

I have '88 and '89 catalogs. E-mail me direct for catalog info.

As for the inception of the "RG". Do mean the "RG Series", or the '86 Roadstars with RG*** model numbers?

Cheers
Steve
