Well I've tried asking for some advise on what to do with my '84 Destroyer, but I think I figured it out myself. I found out that it had a "Pro Rocker" trem on it, which are almost impossible to find parts for! So I installed a stop-tail with fine tunners, dropped a Dimarzio "Evolution" in the rear slot, and set up the "Metal action from Hell." Remember, this was one of the set neck models that my Drummer bought in Japan in 1985 while in the Marines. The draw back to the whole thing is "NO TREMOLO!" Maybe someday I'll fill some holes and install a Floyd or something close since it's already routed. I just can't seem to find the original trem system except on all those Roadstar II's on Ebay. So I guess when life gives you lemons....

Bobby,

you can pick some of those Roadstars up very cheaply. You could buy one just to get the correct trem for your Destroyer. Is your hardware gold or chrome?

There is a 1985 Roadstar with Chrome ProRocker for sale here in Perth, Australia for around $250 US.

Regards,

Mark
