I picked up a Ibanez EX series second hand and wanted to know a little more about it. It's black without pickguard, with sharktooth fret markers and it has a lo-trs floyd rose tremelo. The headstock is also black and has "EX series" on it with the Ibanez logo in smaller letters. It has 2 double and one single pickup marked with the letters XH1, XH2, and XS3 respectively. The serial # is 9208058 and it was made in Korea.

Any info on year, full model name, or original price would be apreciated, the Ibanez webpage doesn't go much into older models and I'm interested in the history.

Chris:

Sounds like it's an EX370 (the only difference from the EX350 is the lack of pickguard). Your's was manufactured in '92. The body is made of basswood with a maple neck and rosewood fretboard.

My info comes from the '93 catalog. The only models higher than your's was the EX370FM which had a Flame Maple top and gold hardware and the EX3700 which was a 370FM with a maple fretboard.

I have no clue as to prices. But they are touted as "guitars and basses with professional features and playability at an affordable price."

Gracias! Much appreciated. It's nice to be able to tell people exactly what you are playing when people ask.
