I need some help here.. i recently bought an ibanez at a pawn shop for $200. It appears to be an S series guitar, but i cant really tell.. the serial # is A700071. it has a slim body, 22 frets, H-S-S p/u config. the thing that gets me is there are 3 p/u toggles rather than one 5-way selector--two up/down and one up/middle/down. it also has one volume and one tone knob. also-- bolt on neck, teal/blue color w/black hardware, rosewood fingerboard. any info would be GREATLY appreciated

Is there anyone I can get in touch with that could tell me a little bit more about that specific model?

If Sabers and "S" series are the same thing, check out this conversation for someone into Sabers:

Some of the original s series guitars had toggle switches for pick up selection. It sounds like an S440 to me. My reason for this line of thinking is that some of the original s400 series guitars were made in Korea, Japanese S series guitars serial numbers normally begin with an 'F'.

I just got my latest Ibanez, and I need help finding out the model, so I can learn more about the deatils. It's an S Series. The pick up config is : IBZUSA F2 & 2 - IBZUSA C2. Bolt on neck. Serial number is 890337. From what I've read on Ed Roman's site, it's looks like it's a 1988. Rosewood fretboard, with dot inlays. Double locking floating tremolo. Any help would be great. I'd appreciate if messages could be sent to my email address also. Thanks Bill - bill@audiodenver.com
