Guitar going out of tune often after ...

I've got an S540 that I finally finished restoring, and had it set up by a really reputable guy here in town - (adjusting the neck, string height, intonation, all that stuff). It plays better than I'd ever imagined, and I finally feel comfortable with a guitar. Problem - after grabbing a couple dives and pull-ups with the bar, as many as three strings go out of tune. I can always fine tune it out, but, after getting it back in tune, a dive or two later, those same strings go out of tune again, this time, I adjust them right back to where they were before this all started! (insert Twighlight Zone theme here). I'm not hard on the guitar at all, and am not going crazy with the bar, either. Is there something I need to adjust? Do I bring it back to the man who set it up? Am I crazy? Should I take up stamp collecting? (By the way, my old Charvel stayed in tune no matter what monkey threw it around!) Anyway, thanks for listening, and I hope to hear from someone soon. JBOOCH   stevo Posted on Friday, October 08, 2004 - 11:04 am:    hallo ther , you have severall choices, one could be the Edge is not sitting correctly against the studs, two the strings are slipping underneath the locking bricks, three the very front of the Edge is touching the front of the tremolo cavity this are usually the biggest problems and as you can see not very complicated to solve, hope this will help   the tone zone Posted on Friday, October 08, 2004 - 11:04 am:    also could be that your strings aren't stretched properly right after you just put them on. i also understand that the knife edges dulling or uneven wear on the studs can cause this particular problem. mike
