What does one look for to differentiate between "vintage" and reissue TS-808 & TS-9 Tube Screamer pedals? How can I tell the diff. jusy by looking at them?

i have the following if you have questions on these

Analogman Brown TS808 mod pedal Sweet and clean nice tone

Keeley modded TS808 Very sweet i use this one nightly with my acoustic for leads it sounds very sweet

Ibanez TS-808 Vintage Reissue Stock Nice sound cannot really tell the difference extremely close to my ears looks cool to

Analogman Bicomp Even sweeter very steely dannish sound or treyish i guess (Ross comp and orange sqeezer compressors)

and i have owned most every other brand and flavor vintage pedal at one time.

i have had great luck with any of analogmans stuff very nice guy and trustworthy!

check out keeley effects as well also great

if you have any questions im around

My favorite is the TS9DX 'Turbo Tubescreamer'. They are much more versatile and cheaper than vintage or other TS models in my opinion.

Collectors don't seem to have the love for it...yet!

A mate has a new reissue TS9. It's awful even with a carbon battery in there instead of an alkaline! I've heard a trip to the Analog Man or Keeley sorts the problem.

Like wise, the 808 reissue benefits from some work by the Analog Man or Keeley too.

IMHO - Forget both and buy a Xotic AC Booster.
