I know someone located in Westchester County, just north of NYC that can work miracles with electronics. He modified a UE-405 footswitch into a UE-700 footswitch in just 5 hours. It was quite interesting to watch the process. He did this without a schematic. He essentially reverse engineered the unit to find all the necessary specs.

If anyone is looking for someone like this, just let me know. I'm not sure how much he charges (he did me a favor), however, I do know he's looking for a good challenge.
