Does anyone out there have any opinions on the various types of Ibanez distortion pedals? I am interested in hearing comments on the Fat Cat FC10, Sonic Distortion SD9, Super Metal Sm9 & SM10, Metal Charger MS10, Mostortion MT10, & the Distortion Charger DS10. How about a discussion?

i own a fc-10, sd-9,sm-9,ts-9 ts-9RI,cm-5,mc-10,dc-10,sml,maxon sm-9,maxon sm-01 most of which are reviewed in my website www.geocities.com/sunsetstrip/amphitheatre/5435.
my favorite is the sm-9, i like my ts-9 but to get the best sound out of it you need to run a booster (eg. another ts-9 or an Eh lpb-1 or 2, or an mxr pre amp etc.) to get a good low end out of it. the FC-10 (they came in japanese and taiwanese versions) is a good pedal too but it really depends on the guitar and amp, with some of my guitars it is only ok. the cm-5 is a killer cheap one sound pedal (ac/dc sound). the sml and maxon sm-1 don't sound anyting like a sm-9 but are quite respectible. the dc-10 is good and has the dual sound option, it works best with darker souding guitars and sounds too bright with some single coils. the mc-10 is an excellent pedal that i recommend if you can only buy one distortion and can't find a sm-9. it sounds exactly like a realtube overdrive when cranked.
