Just got it. Dirty, but cleaned up nice. Truss rod won't tighten up any farther and the gap is close to 15 thousandth's at the 7th fret. Plays and sounds great though. I didn't notice in the pics, but it has Sure Grip I's on it. Might get new II's from Ibanez and sell these some day. It has pointy ears. I read the link about the terada factory but the dates where much later, not 1982. My 83 Am50 has rounded ears.

Congratulations. Sounds like you got a nice axe. Hope you are able to post a review of the guitar once you have some time to play it.

That's beautiful, Mwmeci. I don't think you'll be selling that intrument any time soon.

Have one just like it, in fact the serial # is only about 1000 off.

They are wonderful guitars. Enjoy.

Mwmeci:

Very nice! What do you think of it, compared to the AM50?

My AM205 serial number is about 75 higher than your's.

I love it. Played my Am50, AM300, GB30, and the Am205 through my Hot Rod Deluxe with the volume at 2 1/2 to 3 on the clean channel last night. They're all very similar and I couldn't tell the difference between the AM 50 and 205. All have super 58's and semi-hollow construction, they probably should sound similar. Thanks for your interest. I'll make a new post on one I let get away.
