FA 300/800

I was very lucky to find one in such good shape. Congratulations! Please tell us how they compare, both acoustically and plugged in. Solid top on the 800, right? I was checking out an FA700 the other week. Seller wanted 1600 EURO, which at the time is over my budget, but that was the only reason I passed. Acoustically is twice the volume of the 300 and sounds warm and full, you really hear the resonance. The 300 only sounds full plugged in. The 800 plugged in has great output and sounds the same as it does acoustically only louder. There were a few pits around the D chord. I guess the last owner was a John Denver fan. I do have a question, would the original frets be binded or on top of the binding? I can imagine that FA800 must sound fantastic acoustically (and amplified for that matter). Stacey: I am guessing that they binded all the FA models which makes me think that these 800 frets are not original. Stacey   Munch Username: Munch Registered: 2-2001 Posted on Wednesday, August 15, 2007 - 10:55 pm:    Anecdotal evidence has led me to believe that Ibanez guitars had the binding nibs in '78 but from '79 onwards they stopped doing it.
