Mint, spent the last 10 years in its case, evidently. I tried to do some research on eBay, but none have sold in the past 2 months. A beat up AS-200 went recently for about $900, and we all saw the "counterfeit label AS-120" go for, what, $600? I need to know because I'm going to see the guitar later this afternoon (in about 7 hours). Thanks!

It comes with its case too, by the way.

A good AS180? About 800-900.
Plus something for the case perhaps.

I can't wait to see it tonight. If it's truly minty, it's mine. But oh! The drama! I also might win an eBay auction for a minty AS103. I might be going from zero to two awesome Ibanez semi's in a single day.

Be still my heart! This ivory baby (AS120) showed up on the Bay just a few moments ago. (Must resist temptation to bid...)

The white ones were early ones, this one is most likely made by Samick. They made white Epi Sheraton II guitars too. The main disadvantage of the Samick version is the initial use of NON-waxpotted Super 50's instead of the wax-potted Super 58's.

So, if you want an Ivory one, you should actually calculate MINUS the price of 2 Super 58's for a good jazz/blues sound with no feedback.

I had the opportunity to buy an ivory Epi Sheraton II with 24 carat Gold Maxima strings for 700 guilders in 1999. Didn't do it then, but Ivory has a certain class. Indeed tempting, but stay cool, Chuck! I think the price will drop for this one. I guess when you ask for the serial number, you will hear it is an S40xxxx or S50xxxx serial #.
If it is a C-serial number, then it is more interesting with the Mickey Mouse ears and Super 58's.
Cort produced the old model only for a few months.

So the guitar I went to see tonight, which I was hoping was an AS180, based on this picture:

1

And which was advertised for $500, including case and a Crate practice amp, turned out to be an AS80 instead. A beautiful instrument, to be sure. It has spent its life in its case, with its binding nicely yellowed, and action set wonderfully low. It still has the same strings on it as when the guy bought it, and they didn't sound that bad!

But alas, I'm not looking for an AS80, even if the price for his rivals that of a brand new AS83 with case, let alone including the amplifier in the deal. He said he'd even take $400. Grrrr. I wish I was made of money, the thing would be mine.

In fact, if I lose the auction I'm involved in tonight (I'll know in a few minutes) I may call him back and go get this tomorrow. But for now, I've said goodbye, and he will probably sell it anyway.

Hmm, 400 is good. Certainly if the case is included.
