Does it have to do with cheaper production? Or is it just an aesthetic thing? Do the bookmatched guitars have more value to collectors? greets, stony   Aroee Username: Aroee Registered: 10-2004 Posted on Friday, November 02, 2007 - 12:24 pm:    bookmatched is usually talked about on solid carved wood instruments when they match the two pieces of wood for the top. If it's not bookmatched, you can really see a difference between the two pieces of wood when, for instance, the bass side is darker than the treble side and so on...
