The control pots on my Jazz-Box AK86 are totally useless...!!!
Cheap Garbage...!!!
Does anyone here have any experience in changing the "Pots"...???
I would like to alter the control configaration as well.
I would like to wire the 2 Humbuckers using only 1 Volume & 1 Tone Control only (Like A "Tele"),I would leave the other Volume & Tone Control "Un-hooked" but still mounted in the guitar as it is.
I am looking for advice on whether I have to remove the pickups (Drop them down through the body to get at the wiring or wiring harness...???)
I have alot of electronics experience, so I`m not timid about doing this job...OTHER THAN...If this job is really a pain in the ***, and should be left up to a guitar tech/Luthier.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...!!!

Here is one wiring diagram

This is what you have now

Somebody will tell how the work is done. Anyway you don't have to remove the pickups but the volume and tone pots and the three way toggle to make new connections.
