Hmmm...
Mine is in the same condition.
I think they're hoping for a European customer.
$1.00 = €0.68
$1950.- is €1330.97

I will follow that one of course...
That starting bid is some treshold of course, they could have started lower with a high reserve... then they would get more bidders and at least some market information about what collectors are willing to pay for it. If that's below $1950.- they know nothing about how much they should lower the price.
