I wonder what is the best setup for a GB10 neck to have the lower action. Is it better to be a little concave or to have it straight ?
I play with .13 strings

Did some of you tried both

Thanks

This comes down to personal preference, how you play, string gauge, and the particulars of your instrument. I think experimentation is the best solution.

Here is my recepe: I start out with a very small relief, lower the action until I get buzz. If the buzz is near the nut, I tighten the rod, straightening the neck. If it is near the pickups, I loosen the rod, adding bow. I keep going like this, no more than a quarter turn at a time until the buzz is evenly distributed, then raise the action until it feels right.

Hi Everyone,

I am new on this forum. I recently acquired an AS-50, brown sunburst (1981). Some of the tuners are broken (the turning knobs fall out). I am thinking od replacing them witn Grover Rotomatics. Is this a good option? Any input will be gratefully received.

Thank you all.

Dorigatti,

You should start a new post, since this is a different topic. But Gotoh tuners will be the closest match, either the locking or non-locking option. I think Orval sells direct replacements for the velve tuners thac came stock on the AS50.

I have replaced the original valve tunes on an 81 AS100 with Grover Rotomatics and they are a perfect fit. No extra holes required. Remember to save the originals though.

Funkle and Ace,

Thanks a lot for answering my question. My doubts about Grover Rotomatics have been resolved.

I finally figured out how to start a new post.

Ciao
