Pouvouv, yes Greco was a Japanese domestic Ibanez brand name. Can you post a picture of what you are talking about and I shall endeavour to solve you mystery for you.

Pouvouv, it looks original except for the machine heads, its a "law suite era"Greco 73-76 so if you want it go for it. Its a classic just the same. Its a import into Australia, by someone, this was not sold here originally

Pouvouv:

Greco was a brand name that Hoshino used/uses in the Japanese market. I know, it doesn't make much sense. Some models were EXACTLY the same as Ibanez guitars, but they also have their own designs that they've stuck with over the years.

The really cool thing is that there are many more setneck LPs with the Greco name than there are with Ibanez. That means that you can get VERY good LP replicas (Tokai Love Rock or better quality), if you want to go with Greco. But the rarity of the Ibanez setnecks will also mean they carry a premium. BTW, setneck Greco LPS are NOT cheap!

I have a mint collection '58 replica that is just awesome!!!! I love playing it. I'd put it up against any Gibson. Greco pickups are exact Paf copies down to the last wrap of copper.
