That is either the least figured maple I've ever seen, or it has an opaque creme colored finish.

BTW, how did the hot-rod metallic racing flame paint job come out on your AM66 :-)

i decided not to mod the Am66 so its stays as it is.

i'm in search of a FG100 for some serious modding.

Just received the FG100 I bought last week, it is about 98%+ so it is not for mods. Sorry Artfield.

Also found that the FA100NT and FG100NT are totally different guitars even though all hardware, wood used, and most appointments are identical. The FA100 is 3.25" deep while the FG100 is only 2.31". All other dimensions are just a hair smaller on the FG also.

So what do you think of the FG Ace? Mine played great, but I never liked the tone - it was too bright.

It came with .10 round wounds. I'm going to put a set of .12 flats on it before I compare it to the FA.
