I'm thinking of selling my Tamura built 1977 2471 Ibanez. I had always suspected it was a carved top because you could see that the top was not the same thichness by looking at the f-holes. I has some work done on it by a great luthier (he does work for Scofield, Joe Beck etc...), and he confirmed the its a solid top. Anyone know what it's worth?
Thanks,
Lou

This carved top model would be highly sought after by Ibanez jazzer afficianados. It's worth is hard to pinpoint. Even though it may be an excellent player and a rarity for the Ibanez collectors, it's not like it's a real Gibby L5.

Here's the prices from Dec 2004 for some L5 replicas that went on ebay. I would think it to be at the high end of these ranges.
