just ordered up a new PM120 in Black. Should be here next week, I'm psyched. Years ago I had an AM205 that I sold, I've regretted that ever since. Someday I want one of those again. In the meantime, I was looking for a guitar that could cover Jazz and blues territory, and I'm hoping the Metheny will fit the bill.

I've heard that the pups on these are a bit dark. Obviously I'll try it for a while first, but anyone have suggestions for replacements that would give a good jazz tone on the neck and allow a crunchy blues tone on the bridge?

Congratulations on the new guitar. I've heard great things about the PM120. Are you buying it new or used? I agree with you on the AM205 - that would be a nice guitar to have. I see them on e-Bay from time to time, but they seem to go for a little more than I'm willing to spend at this time. Anyway, congratulations on the new axe.
