Hi there Rick!
It seems to be a very nice Oct 1980 AS-50 Artist. Looks all original exept those Grovers.. The pickups are V-2:s

It is an auction, you will see the price

What is a good guitar depends on what you are looking for. Collector's item? Player's guitar? Compare it with new guitars in the same price range (around $500). What can you get for the money? Japanese Ibanez semi hollows have a good reputation and are well build.

Rick, An AS50 is an excellent guitar. I currently have two. The build quality is outstanding. The sound is subjective. I love mine, both with V2 pickups. Flat wound strings give me the sound I like. Price is subjective as well. IMO, a good one should sell for as high as you want to pay...

thanks all, but i think i'm going to hold out for a while, i'm bidding on the as200, the beat up one--his reserve was around 750 last time, before the ebay canceled his auction--just don't wanna spend too much on it
