It sounds like I hear some of you saying that the newer China stuff (artcore as73) is just as good or better than the newer korean (as80). Is that true? Are the newer as80s no better than the as73? Do the as80s have the ACH or the artstart pickups?

I'd say they're pretty close. Have not owned an Artcore. Either way, you may benefit from a good pro setup. AS80s along with the other Artstars have Super 58 pickups.
