i'm in search of an am205 / 80's as200.
i've found am100, how is it compared to those two?
is 800$ agood price for it (although pricing is quite difficult these days...)?

I'd say it is very similar to an AM50 in construction. But has never been as sought after because of the metallic black finish. I see these going for $400-500 on ebay if memory serves. While the AM50s are now fetching around $800. This is too much for an AM100.

I've never tried an AM100, but It is neither an AS200 or an AM205. The AM205 is sweeter/mellower, and the AS200 has a more classic "335" sound. The AM100, being related to an AM50 would be bright and raunchy, slightly closer to a solidbody.

Your seller has the production date wrong. The AM205 became the AM200 in '88. So it can't be from before '88. The AM200 is essentially the same guitar as the 205, aside from some cosmetic differences. AM205s may be a little higher quality, and they are more valuable/collectable. If you can get the AM200 for a decent price, go for it. Under $1000US would be appropriate - not sure about the European value. They are great underrated guitars that will probably become more collectable through the years.
