Artfield, thanks for reacting, yes thats the one I'm trying to sell, and yes I get a lot of emails, people offering amazing high amounts of money. But I want to know why? I bought it in 1980 for the equivelant of 700 euro's. It looks like the FA300, but the colour is different and some other details too. I wil try to make a photograph and post it here.

well maybe you are wondering why you are getting those mails....i will tell you a little story....and maybe i'm breaking a collectors rule....there used to be a time (and sometimes its still that way) that you could find a "vintage" Ibanez for a very cheap prize because the owners of those guitars bought those guitars in a time they where very cheap, after some years they decided to sell it and most of the time they would sell it much under the price they bought it.
Now thats a normal thing ..yes with alot of electronic devices thats the way to go, because technology advances (don't even mention the 33% tax yearly deduction on certian devices).

But with musical instruments and in your case an Ibanez FA350 model there is something special going on...to keep it simple its more worth (to my opionion) than you orginally paid for it...for alot of reasons....just too mentioned a few:
1. Its a high quality instrument.
2. Ibanez don't make them anymore.
3. It had reach the "ibanez vintage" status which is questionable for a lot of people , but overhere we believe in that slogan as Ibanez diehards.
4. its a japanese jazz guitar, most of the current models are korean and Chinese build.

i'mn't even talking about the quality of the wood and the top...

personally i never played a FA350 but there must be members overhere who know alot about them..

because you decided to wait and not to sell rapidly you did a good thing ....and internet helps alot....getting info and asking questions...for us Collectors its sometimes not that good because we are looking for cheap deals ,on the otherhand the collector rule is that if you think i worth the price you just buy...

hope this helps....

and if you sell ....just let me know ;-)

FA350:

Very nice jazz box, you have there! There aren't a lot of 1980 catalogs around, so it's not easy to find information about this model. There is an abundance of info on the FA300 (which came in Brown Sunburst) because there are lots of 1978 catalogs available. SUch as this one:

It could also be that your model is a European only import. In that case the distributor in the country of import might be able to help out.
