Here are a few links to this guitar player I recently discovered:

As far as I can tell (admittedly, I am new to the Ibanez world, I haven't even received my first Ibanez yet!) this looks exactly like the AM50 I just bought, but in the "gearbox" section of the second link it says that Ben has been playing the same AS50 for the past 20 years. Do you think this is correct? Also, besides body size, what are the differences in the AM50s and AS50s from the same era?

Notably the AS50 has a body size that is bigger than an AM50 but smaller than an AS100 (well mine is at least).

It was the predecessor of the AM50, which was introduced in '82. Just a little bigger, as Dave says.

It is very similar aside from the slight size difference. Some AS50s had (uncovered) V2 pickups, which are pretty hot. Looks like Ben's has either stock Super 58s or some aftermarket PAF.
