After months of searching for a 'nice' (as in reasonably priced) used JSM100 Scofield, one is finally on the way.

GuitarTim:

I second Wildfield's emotion! :-) Any chance we could get to see that "rear view"?

I'd like to hear your feelings on the neck. From what I've read, it's supposed to be a compound radius neck. The only time I got to try one out, the neck seemed chunkier than the Artist.

Beautiful. They've really done a fabulous job on that burst. Some very special features on this guitar as well. I'm anxious to hear your review when you get it.

The rear photo was a bit too large for this site, so I'll try to re-size it. Both the front and back are perfectly bookmatched flame maple. I've not seen this quality on other JSM's. That is what seduced me to jump on this used one.

Here's the picture of the back of Tim's JSM100:

BTW Tim, how does this new baby compare to the blonde AS200?

Johns~Thanks for posting the JSM's back. It is almost exactly the same figure as the top! Amazing!

I'm currently on vacation, so delivery has been pushed back to 1/4/06 to avoid it sitting on my front porch.

I'll be happy to write a comparative review after a thorough test drive.

I really like the brown shading on it much better than the black they used on my(cheaper) AS193. Yours looks much more like a fine instrument should.
