Hi Guys,
My AF120 is lovely to play but too bright for me
Accoustically and electrically
Is the AF200 really a warmer sound as a post here suggested ?
If so why , it's a very similar constuction

I'm going to change to Flats to tame it a bit
but have I bought the wrong ax ?

Wrong ax?
No, you had the wrong strings.
.012 flats will probably give you what you want.
Put the pickup selector in the neck only position.
I heard enthusiastic stories about Thomastik flatwounds. In your case I would choose Thomastik JAZZ SWING JS112 (NOT BEBOP)

I found this UK site that is specialised in jazz strings, so that you can look up the features:

http://www.stringmail.co.uk/jazz.htm

I'm sure you can find the best source for you, wherever you are.
