I needed a case for my '83 AM, so I bought a new Ibanez AM-C case, which unfortunately proved to be way too big. Does anybody know which new case fits an old AM? Thanks in advance.

Hi Dave. I do not know from experience but I have heard that the Ibanez AM50C case will fit the AM models more snugly than the AM100C. I had originally ordered an AM100C case last year, when I ordered an AM73 from MF. That is the case that MF and Ibanez web page recommended. However, when I received the guitar, it was a loose fit and the case was also a little too deep. I ended up returning the AM73 because I did not like the guitar but had I kept it (or if my AM70 ever needs a new case) I would have ordered the AM50C. FYI...the AM50C is the case they recommend for the AX series guitar but I have heard it fits an AM very nicely. If you get one, hope you will comment on the fit.

Which AM is it? Either an AM50C or AM100C case should work. AM50C is a little narrower at the horns. I can send dims for an AM50C if you want.

I have 2 without case, an AM100 and an AM205 which have the same dimensions. I would appreciate the inside measures, thanks!
