What is the difference between AM205 and AM205SE?
What is the price for an AM205 from 1983 in good shape with original case ? A friend of mine wants to sell it to me but we don't know the cost.
Thanks

SE means super edition. Am 205SE have an inlay saying SUPER EDITION.
Price should be between 1000 and 1500$ for both, depending on its shape.

Gibs83:

There have been a couple of reports that the AM205SE has a fancier burl top. But I know that the SE designation in the regular AR300s was more of a marketing gimmick, than a label that denotes anything different from a "standard" AM205. Pretty much the same thing happened with the "S" guitars that have the "Custom Made" fret marker. They were production line guitars, so there was nothing "custom made" about them.
