Sometimes, the more you dig, and learn and read, the more confused you get. I will say tho, that this forum has been a great source of information. You guys' knowledge is astounding.
Here's my question, it's my understanding that the AM-200 was only manufactued from 88-96, but this site; http://www.ibanezregister.com/homepage1.htm shows a 1998!!! Am i missing something or it be a typo? Also, when did the headstocks on the AM-200 change from the castle to the "rounded"? Thanks guys for your imput and clairifcations. Sincerely, Mark

Markownly:

1996 is the last year that the AM200 was shown in the US catalogs. But it seems that it was available in some countries past that year. The IbanezRegister is a UK-based site, so maybe the AM200 shown is from the 1998 UK catalog.

One clue that the picture on the Register is probably from '98 is the bigger "tulip" style headstock. According to the US catalogs, this change occurred in '97.

Mark, the AM200 was available in Japan up until a few years ago. '02 or so.

John and Funkle,
See, I sorta thought that maybe it was available outside of the USA, but wasn't sure. Thank you guys, much appreciated! Mark
