I'm considering the purchase of an AM255 from a private seller. However, the original pickups were replaced by what appears to be dimarzios, the volume & tone controls for the bridge pick up was replaced by two split coil switches, the tremelo bar is missing, the toggle switch needs replacing, and to top it off, a prior owner of the guitar either removed or painted over the "Ibanez" logo and replaced it with small inlays of his initials. Otherwise, it is a very beautiful guitar that plays exceptionally well. Even the binding has a beautiful "aged vintage look." I definite see what the rage over the older AM models is about. The Artcore series almost looks cheesy by comparison.

What would be a guestimate as to its value, where can I find replacement pups (58s), tremelo arm, toggle switch, tone and volume controls and matching knobs, and where can I obtain a replacement logo and who would you recommend to replace it. How much am I looking to basically refurbish it?

I have a picture, but I'm trying to figure how to post it

This one has been on ebay about 5 times and each time the price gets a little lower but no body seems to want it. The seller started it off at a BIN of $1,200 and now he is asking $770.00........I think it might be worth $400-500.....You can find used super 58's on ebay for about $50-75 each from time to time.
