I am offered it by a friend who wants my old Jasmine accoustic. He is aware of the fact that there probably is a difference in value and that I`m the one who`s trading up. (I will give him something to make up for the difference) I would like to know how old it is. Some info: The neck is screwed on tho the body, It has no serial number and it has a strange number zero fret on the top. It used to be played by an old bloke that passed away some years ago. The widow gave the guitar to my friend. It show very little wear. I want to use it on our gigs. Is this a good idea? Or should I keep it in a safe and protected place? It shure sounds great on feels good to play. Maybe this will be the start of a collection? Any comments are highly appreciated. Thanks for reading! Here is a link to some photos. I guessed there would be some difference in value when you first showed it. We don't know much about your Jasmine. What pre-amp is in it? Is it a cutaway model? Solid top? If you close the deal, I would play it, but at home. It is a collectors item, but a guitar safe is too expensive for this one, besides what's the fun of having a guitar in a safe? I bet it's serial number starts with 8 and ends with H. Please look inside. Too much? I don't know. If the bridge and top are still in place after more than 25 years, you have a good stable VINTAGE 12 string. We've seen that even expensive brands today have problems with the heavy tension of 12 strings. Your guitar has proven itself already. Ginger
