AS 80 on ebay....$1200?

I've seen a '83 AM50 go for $1499.- which was pretty high. I think $850-900 would have been reasonable for that one at that time. The 1984 list prices were: AM50BS : $475.- AM100MB : $515.- AM205AV : $745.- AM255AV : $795.- AS80AV : $645.- AS80CH : $645.- AS200AV : $795.- So the AS80CH was 35% more expensive than the AM50. 1.35 x $850.- = $1146.- 1.35 x $900.- = $1218.- The AS200 was 67.4% more expensive than the AM50 so that's probably why people are willing to pay $1500.- for it. I think the calculation the seller made is quite realistic, but he starts high. So he probably can't stand low balling and he's rewarding the fast bidders, which is fair IMO.
