New-B Just Bought an AS120 Artstar - ...

I just bought an AS120 Artstar, my 1st Ibanez: http://www.planbband.com/AS120_Front1.jpg http://www.planbband.com/AS120_Back1.jpg Can you give me a ballpark for what I should have paid? I actually paid $475, w/case and tax, etc. I just can't find much info on this model. BTW, the serial # is S50xxxxx; so, I guess it's Korean and made in 1995. Is that right? This IMO is the best sounding Korean ES-335 type guitar. Yours is indeed a Korean, but a Samick, made in 1995. In that very same year Korean production was moved to Cort because of some conflict. Mike Pickel just bought a '95 AS120 too, but a C50XXXXX serial #. Both guitars have the narrow headstock. Later AS120's, like mine, have the wide Artstar headstock. $475.- including case and tax etc is a real bargain. That's €380.- for a guitar of €999.- 38% of the last list price and a case! Wow! It's great to part of the forum and own my 1st Ibanez. I just got back from a blues jam and played two sets with my AS120. It's a killer player; but, I had a bit of a problem controlling some feedback. I've never had a 335-like guitar and I know I'll need to get used to it and the potential for extra feedback. The guitar plays like a dream and feels like an old friend...no time needed getting used to it. If you use 6 metres of cable, you still have a pretty good signal and you can create enough distance. Don't stand straight in front of your amp but a bit to the side. Have fun!
