It has better and gold hardware. I guess that the top is of higher quality: Carved spruce top vs pressed spruce top. There was a 25%-20% price difference between the 2355's / 2355m's successor FA100 / FA100NT and the 2635: http://www.ibanezrules.com/catalogs/price/1978/August-Electric/p03.jpg It's more exclusive than ours, but it has the disadvantages that come with the tortoise pickguard... You'll see guitars propped up against all sorts of things including trees ,cars and what have you. They all look great. It depends how you photograph them. six
