SA400 Info Request

I was just offered a 1978 Ibanez, SA400 in Cherry that a friend of mine offered to sell me. I know very little about the guitar and was looking for some information. The guitar is in very good condition in general, minor scratches, but it needs a pickguard (missing) and will need new frets soon. It has a trap tailpiece and looks just like an ES345 Any information and original pickguard color info would be helpful. Also if anyone can give me an idea of value, that would also be helpful. Do a search on the guitar and you will find plenty of reading. Your one looks to have a changed bridge. Also, the varitone knob has been changed from black to cream and the selector position ring appears to be missing. The pickguard was probably a bound Tortoishell job or bound plain black. Pickups look to be changed too from Super 80 butterfly/flying Finger pups to maybe Super 58's. Some came with a quick change tail too. They're good. They were also on the SG2000, and what's good enough for Carlos... Technically no reason to hunt for another bridge. But you could consider some other knobs. Especially the chicken head. I think the Vox knob on this site would look good: http://www.tubesandmore.com/cemirror/AES05-014.pdf especially when you are going to use a black pickguard, which is IMO the most logical combination with a red finish. Tortoise is possible too as Sixvsix said, but much more expensive. I knew the bridge was changed, but did not know it was a Yahmaha. I did not know about the knobs and btw, pickups are Burstbuckers. Looks like Chandler has the pickguard for $45, I need the bracket and varitone ring and I should have her pretty much done. Would you have any sense of what this is worth if I were to sell her?
