I need some information about the strings that are on my new Ibanez GB 10S electric guitar. They are flat wound and the ball ends are color coded which indicate D’Addario strings. This guitar is brand new. Could you please give me the exact brand, type, and string gauge used on this guitar? (What does the Ibanez factory string this model up with?) I need to buy some extra sets because I am playing this guitar more than any other that I have ever owned.

This instrument far exceeds my expectations. The quality is outstanding and puts your competitors like Gibson to shame. I will keep this guitar the rest of my life. It plays beautifully and sounds so good.

Can you please get back to me with the string information?

Thank you,

Walter, the strings on the GB10 from the factory are D'addario Chromies 12 gauge flat wounds.

George has his own signature series of flat wound strings made by Thomastick in a 12 gauge...these are expensive but nice, which he uses on his own personal guitars.

Captain Ibanez :-)
