This was in a guys backyard. He had a lobster boil and we got to entertain. I will post some more pics shortly. I'm the guy on the right and I will try and get a better shot of me with the guitar. You can see my setup is very simple. I'm playing my 1978 PF 400 through an Ibanez TS 808 Tubescreamer into my 1974 Fender Deluxe Reverb.

I look like I'm trying to punch out a solo on Under My Thumb... Of note.. I replaced the origianl pickups(Don't worry I still have the original Super 70's) With Bareknuckle Mule pickups. They work great!

I like the PF 400 so much that my 77 2619 didn't even make out of the box! Maybe next time! The PF 400 did do a number on my back. (A little heavy for long periods of time) As you can see we played for a long time with no break.. But they paid us in lobster and beer so it was cool!

Russ.

Is that 'THE' Deluxe in the background you're using? What's it sounding like. Must be good. You're screwing the face up nicely.

Hey Six nice to hear from you. Yeah that's the deluxe all right. It's been working fine. It sounds great! I prob need to bring it into a tech soon to have it looked at. It was acting up a bit that night. It sounded like a wire was loose. It was cutting in and out just a bit near the end of the night. Not bad for a 30 odd year old amp. My friends really like the sound I get from it. I was able to turn it way up and get some really cool natural distortion out of it. Way COOOOOOL!

Can't beat the old Blackface era amps. Glad it's sounding good. I always recommend regular servicing on tube amps be they young or old.

I'll be posting a link to my bands website here soon with some CD cuts loaded. Used a bunch of stuff on that recording.

Keep On Rockin'!!
