Maybe someone can help me with this,
iv'e often read of people buying an amp new or usd and rewiring to "their preferences" if you like or having an amp tech rewire it for him... does rewiring an amp or modifying the wiring (is probably more accurate)affect the sound in any way? how would it affect tone and output if at all?
do pros have their amps wiring modified? has anyone on this forum ever done it and if so why?

Yes, rewiring affects the tone and/or output, that's the whole point of doing it :-)

It usually involves changing components, or adding circuitry to alter the tone, output, gain, and how the amp reacts etc. Swapping tubes is another tweak that can alter the amp.
