ALL POINTS BULLETIN: PitViper... I seriously hope you're OK Dude.
You've had my guitar parts for nearly 4 months. Axe looks like dog doo and I haven't played it for 4 months. I was just about getting pretty steamed that you've had my parts and payment for near 4 months and you've ceased communicating with me and you won't return my parts. Then, I'm thinking... Man... I hope Pit is alright. So... before I get real antsy.... are you OK dude? That's really the most important thing to me. Obviously, I would have liked to have the hand-made parts you promised me (and I paid for 4 months ago) but... it's not as important as me knowing you're OK. So... first of all, I hope all is well by you and yours. Secondarily, I would appreciate so much if I could either have the pieces you promised me that you'd ship several times or... my original parts back. I sincerely hope you understand my concerns here. 1) Your health and well-being 2) my axe. This is very very very uncomfortable for me. I sent pay in good faith, I've been waiting for nearly 4 months and you won't contact me and I am concerned. I know you would never just keep my guitar parts. I've conversed with you many times and I know for sure you are a decent fellow. However... with your refusal to contact me, I am very concerned for you and my parts. I figured I'd post here in case you see it and in case any other ICW guys know what your story is. I am getting pretty steamed about this but before I go ballistic, I need to make sure you're OK. I am a reasonable man. If you've incurred personal problems or something, I can understand that. Other than that though, I don't know why you accepted payment, haven't done the work, promised me several times you'd ship stuff to me. We're all pretty good to each other on ICW and I'd hate to think you were skunking a fellow ICW guy. I refuse to believe that. I just want to know you're OK and I want my guitar parts back please. Either my original parts or what you promised me. Either way, no hard feeling, I know you're a good man. Please contact me. Please let me know you're OK, please let me have my parts back, I haven't played that guitar for near 4 months and I like that guitar and want to play it. PLEASE. PLEASE. PLEASE. HAS ANYONE SEEN OR HEARD FROM PIT? Man... he does excellent work and I was so looking forward to having the pieces he promised me.

Hey Bob, I'm sure this is some sort of misunderstanding. The Viper is a stand up guy (as far as I know) and not looking to rip anyone off.....Give him some time to respond before you unleash the rath of the ICW on him !

You never know , he might just be having computer problems or something.....

Anyone out there know of the Vipers whereabouts ?

"Steamed Concern" ... now there's a new concept, Bob.

I'm sure he will come around...but I will say that I have not seen him post out here for a while...so I did a search by author and found that his last post was 4/29/07.

When did you last speak with him? What happens when you email him?

Life is tenuous, Bob, and a lot can happen in 24 hours let alone a couple months...go easy on yourself about it and it WILL work out.

I just hope he's OK...that's all...

I actually am concerned about him. I was getting angry... yes. Then I thought b4 I get bent, let me see if this guy is OK. Obviously my guitar is not as important as Pit's well-being. However... keep this in mind, it's critical... he promised me, with specific ship dates, that he'd be mailing his completed work to me on several occassions. Those dates all passed with nothing reaching me. I saved all our correspondences and I can prove this to you. I actually told him not to worry about it, just return my original parts and I told him he can even keep the payment I sent him for his efforts, no hard feelings. I can prove this to you, I've saved it all. He told me a couple of weeks it would take, when it neared 4 months... with broken promises and no end in sight, I told him I needed to wrap it up, get my axe back together, keep the pay, return my parts. That's when he ceased communication, that was apprx. 2 weeks ago. None of you guys would be comfortable with what has transpired if you were in my place. To say he's shipping on several occassions and then it turned out not to be true... to cease communication, to not return my parts, to have this go on for 4 months.... you guys would not be happy if this was happening to you. However, I still want to give the benefit of the doubt. I hope he's OK, that's all. If he pops up and just says "Bob... I'm OK"... fine.... I relinquish my parts, I'll get new ones. That would be the end of this for me. As long as I know he's OK... fine, we need no further discussions, I don't care about the parts, the broken promises, the payment I sent. It's not that big of a deal. However... to mistreat a fellow ICW member... on purpose, that's something I would have a problem with. I haven't played that axe in 4 months because of this and I have the right to be stressed here. My guitar is a non-entity compared to Pit's well-being though and I agree 100% he's a real good guy who does extremely excellent work, I wouldn't have sent him my bits if that wasn't the case but I am dead tired of this now and I want it to end. You'd have had enough too at this point. He can borrow a computer to communicate, I do. Well, let's just keep our fingers crossed that he's just at me for wanting my parts back after 4 months...WITH NO END IN SIGHT. That's better than him being in a bad spot, I hope he's in a good spot and he's OK. Does anyone know him personally? Can anyone give him a shout. Listen, I know I can be a pain in the sometimes but really, after 4 months, I gotta figure I'm within my rights to at least want my original parts back... wouldn't you agree, and I've saved my e-mails and his and I can prove I've actually been quite cordial and understanding, even to the point of where I told him he can keep my $100 just for his efforts, I can prove all this stuff dudes. I don't know why he's doing this, it don't make sense.

I guess I have to clarify...I was trying to make light on a tough situation for you and I knew you were torn. I know what it is like to have to wait a long time for a guitar to make it home after having someone else work on it...one year in my case. But, unlike your situation, the communication (BS or otherwise) was at least somewhat continuous.

But, I think it is obvious to you and all of us that something has happened to Pit as he has seemed to have cut off ALL com. on all fronts. Ultimately, it is my feeling that you will get your parts...but that may take some time.

Hang in there Bob!

This kinda stinks... not knowing if he's OK. Know what I mean... you'd hate to think he's had some difficulty that prohibits him from responding. If he did make contact at this point my response would be... "glad you're alright. Sorry if after 4 months I wanted my parts back, keep the money for your efforts, just send me my original parts back, no hard feelings and I'd like to continue to consider you my friend."

Bob - do you have his real name so that you might look him up on directory assistance? If you Paypal'd him, can you contact them to see if his account is still active?

It is odd that he's been out of touch this long. I'd doubt that he'd stiff the ICW clan for a 100 bucks and some free parts.

Brent, he is a real decent fellow, I know that for sure so... this is disconcerting to say the least.
Even if he says "Bob's a pain in my that's why I've not contacted him, or made and sent the parts I promised" that would be OK with me. It's better than not knowing if he's OK. However, I don't consider a few inquiries over 4 months to be a pain in the butt, especially when he said it would be a coupla weeks, it's 4 months now. Hopw he's OK, that's more important than my guitar parts. Now I have to incur additional expense to re-fit my axe. I don't even know if he cashed the check I sent him, it's been so long. can anyone help me here? has anyone else tried to rech him off-site?

***BUMP***

Still haven't heard from PitViper. It's been quite some time now. I went out today and bought the parts I needed to replace what I sent him to work with. I never played the guitar since I sent him those parts.

Has anyone heard anything?
He is/was one of the nicest guys on here and does excellent work with abalone and M.O.P.
Hope all is well with him.
I wish he would have done the work because I don't like the parts I put on there today. What he was gonna do would have been so much cooler.

Can anyone contact him off-line?
