I see no problems in his last 34 transactions.
Perhaps you should give him the benefit of the doubt, but without giving up your rights of course.
Try to get him on the phone!

It would be a pity if this transaction wouldn't be completed. $275.- is a VERY good price!

Good luck, Jazzz!

100% of the time, without exception, whenever this type thing happens on Ebay it's always "there was a death in the family" or ..."My monm fell down a flight of stairs last night. DO NOT BELIEVE IT!!!!

Dudes like this tend to blackmail you with feedback, that's how they maintain their rating. There's this one guitar I bought off eBay, totally different than what the listing said, the neck pickup had been replaced and had a butterfly cover slapped on it (not even soldered!) to make it look good in the listing. TOTALLY out of phase with the bridge pickup!

The listing said "Sounds great!". I fought him for a week before he finally sent me a neck pickup. I haven't left feedback for him, but he hasn't left feedback for me either, even though I paid immediately.

Other sellers have left me good feedback for paying quick, before they even shipped the item, since that's what seller feedback should be based on. Did the buyer pay fast and was he courteous? If he did, he should get a good feedback.

I'm not going to name this guy, since I've had good transactions with him in the meantime, and I don't want to risk a retaliatory strike, but I'm just recounting my experience, that some sellers maintain their feedback reputation by feedback blackmail. Then in their listings, they say stuff like "Check my feedback, you don't get a rating like that for nothing!".

Unless somebody has several hundred transactions, it's really hard to tell. That being said, I've only had a few very minor problems with sellers, and have worked them all out, so in general, for me, Ebay seems a cool place to purchase from.

Isn't $275.- BIN actually not too good to be true?
I paid Frank EUR 300.- and I got EUR 100.- discount on an already lowered price (495 > 400) because we did several consignment deals and know each other for 12 years or so (we're both ex-teachers and our old school caretaker is a mutual friend, you know... a nice small network of trusted people).
I would never have suggested a BIN of 275.-
For this axe one should easily catch $400.- with the original V2's.

I don't know Jazzz, I just wish you get the guitar for that price. But your money back is OK too. Nothing lost, just some time and hairs.

The guitar seemed so so, nothing outstanding and with no case, his prior sales and feed back looked good, but after i paid, he would not return any emails only until i opened a claim, then he sent me 5 emails a day saying if i dropped the claim he could get the funds to send the guitar, I WILL GET THE MONEY BACK, BUT NOW HES GIVEN ME BAD FEED BACK AS WELL, HIS EBAY NAME IS T-bo=baggins, BE CAREFUL OUT THERE!! JAZZZZ
