Author Message   Doubleone Username: Doubleone Registered: 10-2003 Posted on Thursday, November 08, 2007 - 5:45 pm:    Hey Guys, I don't collect Tokais..........they do make some really nice guitars though, anybody else catch this auction? unreal top,someone paid alot of $$$$ to get their hands on it. with Les Pauls real or imagined like they say Flame [or in this case quilt] is the name of the game.can you imagine what this would be worth if this was a REAL 58-60 Gibson Les Paul. You can tell by the headstock. Might still be a great player and high in quality...but most fanatics go after the Japanese made Tokais.   Doubleone Username: Doubleone Registered: 10-2003 Posted on Friday, November 09, 2007 - 8:11 pm:    Hi Guys, I sent John the photos of the LS450CS.........Ebay removed the listing as soon as the guitar had sold..........I had saved the pics to my pics file already so........ I got em. beautiful piece, only very few made per the seller for a music store in japan.this guitar had a set of Tom Holmes pickups as well. I found the original auction when this seller won the guitar for $1,400.00 + change,it sold last night for $2,700.00.another LS450CS from the same small batch of guitars only with a pinstriped top sold for $3,600.00! I'll see if I can find the pic of that one as well. D1
