However they might as well be identical with Ibanez pickups of the same era, the Super 58 was introduced in 1980 and that three-point mounting was discontinued 1987/88..   Chucke99 Username: Chucke99 Registered: 2-2007 Posted on Thursday, November 15, 2007 - 5:41 pm:    So, these pups were up on eBay, but badly described in their title, so somewhat under the radar. The description says the seller bought them in 1982 but never used them, and he *thinks* they may be Ibanez. I put a fairly low bid on them and won the auction for $31.67. For another $10 (yes, expensive) they'll be shipped to me, and if it turns out they are not Ibby 58's, then, well, I paid $40 for two shiny gold humbuckers. I scraped off some waxy buildup on the bottom of one of the pups, and then the other, and... JACKPOT! They are stamped: Ibanez SUPER-58 So, how much is a pair of NOS Gold-plated Super 58's from 1982 worth, with no wearing of the gold, though a little scratched?
