Thanks, Michael, for posting this. The thief's potential resale market just went down by a factor of 10 for sure. I watch eBay all the time (as do you) and will be asking many "what's the serial number on that one?" questions in the days to come. If it surfaces, we'll catch the bugger.

Don't know where Scranton is exactly, but might she turn up on any site in Holland, she'll be notified, by me or one of the other Dutch members, I'm sure.

The 1st one is the same model. The 2nd one is not a '79 AR300. It's an eighties AR305.

Michael,

Don't know who this belongs to but the area code and phone exchange got me as I used to live out in the Richmond District in San Francisco while in chef school and had a 415-722 phone number. Made me homesick a little for California seeing it...

Best of luck recovering it.

Just so there's no confusion, it's not my guitar.

Michael,

Good, glad it's not - would be a real shame if it was someone I knew as nice as you. Still a shame some soul lost their guitar to some thief.

I emailed the owner and let them kmow that it was posted here. I just got a reply and here it is..

Hi Brian-

Really appreciate you passing along the info. I originally posted on CraigsList, a few bass forums I belong to and some site called "Screaming Mad....??? (something) that distributed it to dozens of other sites.

The good news is I've recovered it ! The bad news (not so bad) is that I don't know how to go about notifying all the sites that it's recovered! If you're a member of Ibanez collector's World would you mind posting a "found" message for me?

Many thanks and good karma to you.

Regards, Gil Young

SO its all good!

Makes you think if he reported it to the Police they got lucky with a hot sheet hit at a music store or pawn shop...
